To help stay fresh over the summer our English & Math departments have identified some summer work for you to stay sharp!

English

On this site, you will find our required summer reading activity. This summer, students will complete one of four summer reading options. Descriptions, organizers, and suggested novel choices have been provided for each of the four assignments. Students should pick and complete one this summer and bring in their work during the first week of school.

If you have any questions please email Evir Butler, English RT: Evir_R_Butler@mcpsmd.org
Have a wonderful summer filled with relaxation and great reading!

Math

HELLO PANTHERS!
On this Google Site, you will find a variety of math resources to support and strengthen your mathematical reasoning skills throughout the summer.
To help prevent summer learning loss and ensure students are prepared for the upcoming school year, we strongly recommend that all students regularly practice math over the summer using IXL and/or the additional support materials provided on this site.
Students are encouraged to use the summer learning resources provided on this site, including IXL, a personalized learning platform that adapts to individual skill levels and provides targeted practice based on student needs, or the “Recommended Support Materials” section. These resources provide meaningful opportunities to review important concepts, reinforce problem-solving strategies, and build confidence in the math skills learned during the school year.
Each program offers a unique approach, but all are designed to help you prepare for your next math course in the fall. Be sure to explore the links that correspond to your upcoming course; this will help you retain key skills and begin the new school year with confidence.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Mathematics Content Specialist: Rachel_B_Rabin@mcpsmd.org
Have a wonderful summer filled with relaxation, fun, and meaningful math exploration!
