Senior Chromebook Return

Seniors may begin returning their chrome book at any time this month

If students return their chromebook early they should be done with ALL work and tests as another device will NOT be checked out to them.

Chromebook Return in the Media Center will be held May 19 and 20th

ALL SENIOR CHROMEBOOKS ARE DUE.

Students Returning Chromebooks

All Chromebooks must be returned with a charger

Chromebooks returned without a charger will be financially obligated $28.25

Please ensure that the device has a charge: All chromebooks need to be powered up to ensure they are working properly

If there is physical damage to your device: there will be a financial charge

If a student has lost their device the replacement charge is 350.00

Attention Seniors – Cap & Gown Orders

This is an important reminder for our graduating seniors: 109 seniors have not yet ordered their cap and gown for graduation.

If you are one of them, please place your order NOW! Use this link, as February 28^th is the LAST POSSIBLE DAY to order to ensure your regalia arrives on time for the ceremony. Ordering your cap and gown is required to participate in graduation, so don’t wait until the last minute!

Dear Class of 2026 Magruder Families,

I am excited to share the date of the Class of 2026 graduation ceremony for Magruder: Friday June 5, 2026 at 9:00 am. This year also brings an important graduation update. All Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) comprehensive high school graduation ceremonies will be hosted at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). This decision was made to provide every graduate and their family with:

A comfortable, indoor setting that is not dependent on the weather.
Ample parking and accessibility for guests.
Reduced costs—MCPS negotiated with UMBC on behalf of all high schools and is covering venue rental fees, which substantially lowers costs to schools and families.

MCPS decided to use a centralized venue to ensure consistency, equity, and a celebratory experience worthy of this milestone for every student across the county. We also know that travel may be a concern for some families. MCPS will provide information in the coming months about transportation options and supports to make sure all students and families are able to attend. Graduation is one of the most memorable events in a student’s life. Our school community is looking forward to celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026 in a way that is meaningful, inclusive, and accessible for all.
