Class of 2026 Graduation Information

Now that we have begun collecting information for the graduation ceremony, it is also time for the seniors participating in the ceremony to pay their $60 senior dues.  The payment option is available through School Cash Online and has been attached to the students’ SCO accounts.  https://mcpsmd.schoolcashonline.com/  The deadline to remit payment is Friday, January 16, 2026.  After January 16th, the fee will become a financial obligation that may affect a student’s ability to participate in extra curricular activities or maintain their current parking permit.

The Class of 2026 graduation ceremony for Thomas Wootton High School: Friday, May 29, 2026, 1:30 pm.

This year brings an important update. All Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) comprehensive high school graduation ceremonies will be hosted at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). This decision was made to provide every graduate and their family with:

  • A comfortable, indoor setting that is not dependent on the weather.
  • Ample parking and accessibility for guests.
  • Reduced costs -MCPS negotiated with UMBC on behalf of all high schools and is covering venue rental fees, which substantially lowers costs to schools and families.

MCPS decided to use a centralized venue to ensure consistency, equity, and a celebratory experience worthy of this milestone for every student across the county.
