Our Library's Vision
The Mill Creek Towne media center strives to foster loves of reading and learning in every member of the school community. This learning environment sparks students' curiosities and encourages students to research answers for today's issues, to think critically in a technological world, and to be respectful members of their communities.
Our Library's Mission
Mill Creek Towne's media center implements an instructional program that is inclusive, positive, and intellectually stimulating. Students, staff, and community members will have equitable access to quality print and electronic resources. Effective instruction and professional development will be provided by the media staff to meet curriculum standards and school wide goals. The media center will offer quality literature that promotes diversity, inclusion, and empathy to help prepare students to be well rounded individuals in a global society.

Book Circulation Policy

- Books are checked out to students for a two week period.
- All materials may be renewed for additional time unless there is great demand and/or a waiting list.
- Students may check out and return materials anytime the media center is open.
- Students in Grades 4 and 5 are taught to exchange their own library books at our self-checkout stations.
Procedures for Overdue/Lost Books:
- Overdue notices are sent home once a marking period.
- There are no fines for late/overdue books.
- In the event a library book is lost or damaged, families are not required to pay for them. However, the media center will gladly accept donations to help offset the cost of replacing the materials. The donation can be in the form of cash, a check made out to Mill Creek Towne, or a used copy of the book. Payment for these materials will be returned if the books are later found.
