Weekly Update for the Week of April 7, 2025 Good evening Cavalier Families. This is Ms. Adamson–Proud Principal of Kennedy High School–with your April 7th weekly update! The make-up SAT is this Wednesday, April 9th. Juniors should have received an email update regarding their make-up. Please see assistant principal, Ms. Rodgers, with any other questions. Third Marking Period report cards are now available in Synergy for parents and hard copies will be distributed to students on Tuesday, April 8 through homeroom. Congratulations to our students and to Mr. Ploeger for reviving the musical tradition at Kennedy High School. Their performance of “It’s Gonna Be Fine” was tremendous. We are so proud and look forward to seeing our tradition of theater continue to grow ever stronger. It’s Spirit Week, April 7 - 11th! Look for exciting events during lunch, like “Pie-A-Teacher” and Face Painting. Join us as we celebrate our Spring Athletes. As a part of ongoing security measures, HALO vape detectors were installed and went live on April 1. These devices detect nicotine, THC, air quality changes, loud noise, and tampering. Please remind your student that the use of inhalants on school grounds is prohibited and students will receive consequences as outlined in the Code of Conduct. The next Family Market is this Thursday, April 10th at 2:30, just in front of the Kennedy auditorium. Please remember to bring your own bags. We are continuing our practice of Hall Sweeps when students are late to class. Students who are tardy will receive a lunch detention when they are late to class. Please help by getting your student to school on time and by encouraging them to go straight to class when the bell rings. Please continue to remind your students to wear their ID everyday (to avoid being charged for a new one). Remember that we are a closed campus, and the IDs help us to ensure that only our students are in the building, especially during lunch. Remember, Spring Break begins next Monday. Schools are closed Monday, April 14th - Monday, April 21st. Students return to school on Tuesday, April 22nd. Thank you all for your support; and remember, we are stronger together. |
