    Student Identification Procedures

    Montgomery County Public Schools and Bethesda Chevy Chase High School continue to strive to create and maintain a safe school environment for all of our students. All high school students must have a Student ID when entering the building and keep it with them at all times while in the building. Our goal is to keep unauthorized people out of our building during the school day, and to help us ensure everyone is in the correct location.​

    • Students who forget to wear their ID or misplace it will be required to get an alternate/temporary “Student” ID. There are limited quantities of these items.
    • Students who do not return the “alternate/temporary" Student ID will be issued a $10.00 fee charged to their School Cash Online account.
    • Students who need a replacement ID after receiving this year’s ID will get it in the main office for a $5.00 fee.
    • Students who are new to BCC will be provided a new ID in the main office once registered as part of their enrollment process.

    Lockers

    Lockers are to be obtained by requesting one from the Security Staff.  Please complete the form at the desk in the main office lobby.

    Lost & Found

    Lost and found items are located in the Main Office

    Student IDs- Important ID Policy Update (effective November 6, 2024)

    • B-CC will no longer accept StudentVUE or prior-year student IDs for school entry.  All students must show their current school year ID.  The exception will be grade 12 students who still need to take their senior photo.
    • A physical ID will also be required for entry into athletic events starting in the winter season.

    Lost or Forgotten ID Procedures

    • If a student forgets their ID for a day, they can get a temporary one from the main office (one time per semester)
    • If the ID is permanently lost, a replacement will cost $5.00.  Please see the staff in the main office.

    New Students

    • If you are new to B-CC and missed the photo dates, please visit the main office to get your picture and ID.

    Parking

    Visitor Parking:

    *Please observe posted parking signs and directional markings.
    * Please do not park in spaces marked reserved. Towing is enforced.
    * Please sign in on the visitor clipboard in the main office and list your vehicle.
    * Cars parked in the bus lanes must be cleared by 1:00 p.m. each day! On an early release
    day, they must be moved by 10:30 a.m.

    Cars that do not follow the above instructions will be towed.  Announcements can not be made to find owners as they will interrupt the instructional day.
