MCPS is Bringing New Human Resources/Payroll Software to Employees

MCPS is implementing a new Human Capital Management (HCM) solution that will be replacing our current Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The system is projected to launch in December 2024. All employees will soon begin receiving regular communication around the anticipated changes and training opportunities.  

What’s Changing?

The HCM system will provide MCPS employees with value-added benefits and functionality to include the following:

  • an all-inclusive self-service portal for employees to complete hire-to-retire and business activities,
  • online timesheets and leave requests,
  • choice of 12-month extended pay for 10- and 11-month employees (available July 2025),
  • a responsive user design accessible anywhere and anytime, and
  • much more!
